While on a sabbatical in Marrakesh in 2016, husband and wife team Miriam and John fell in love with the textiles and esthetic of Morocco, particularly vintage Beni Ourain, Azilal and Boucherouite Rugs. They established Mellah upon their return to Toronto, Canada, renovated a diamond in the rough storefront on College St., where they share their collection of vintage Moroccan rugs, babouches, and other textiles and treasures.
